Tendayi Kuumba

one of Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch of 2023, international dancer, choreographer, singer, & songwriter, Tendayi Kuumba is a graduate of North Atlanta High School of Performing Arts and Spelman College. awarded Chita Riveras Outstanding Female for her role as Lady in Brown in The TONY nominated Broadway Revival "For Colored Girls Who have Considered Suicide/ When the Rainbow is Enuf,” Tendayi is a former touring company member of Urban Bush Women, & background vocalist/dancer & original cast member of Special Tony Award Winning David Byrne's America Utopia on Broadway, World Tour, and HBO Film adaptation directed by Spike Lee.

currently, Tendayi is also longtime collaborator with partner Greg Purnell under the alias UFLYMOTHERSHIP with sonic/choreographic projects and a B.O.L.D Facilitator for Urban Bush Women. she gives thanks and blessings for life, love, breath, and the pursuit of happiness through creativity and community. she looks forward to all that can be learned and shared, spreading love with the bodycraft way!

    this class is the heart of bodycraft. from minute 1 to minute 50 we create a seamless, fluid journey in and out of the floor, alternating between dance cardio and bodyweight strength training. this is a full body experience, with dynamic movement meant to take up space. you will leave feeling cleansed and energized, and more connected to yourself.
